Cancellation Policy

1. Order Cancellation Overview

We understand that sometimes circumstances change, and you may need to cancel an order after placing it. Our Cancellation Policy is designed to provide you with a clear, straightforward path to halting an order before it ships, while also explaining the limitations and protocols once an order has progressed further into our fulfillment system. We process orders rapidly to ensure the fastest possible delivery to our customers, which means the window for order cancellation is often quite narrow.

This policy outlines the specific timeframes, methods, and conditions under which you can successfully cancel your purchase without penalty. It also details what steps to take if you miss the cancellation window. We strongly advise reviewing your cart and shipping details carefully before finalizing your checkout to minimize the need for post-purchase cancellations.

2. The Cancellation Window

To provide exceptional service, our warehouse operations run almost continuously. Once your payment is authorized, your order immediately enters our automated fulfillment queue. Because of this efficiency, the window to cancel an order is strictly limited to 60 minutes after the order is placed. During this one-hour grace period, your order is technically in a "pending" status, allowing our system to intercept and halt it before picking and packing begins.

If you realize you need to cancel within this 60-minute timeframe, you have the highest probability of a successful cancellation. If more than 60 minutes have passed, it is highly likely that your order is already being processed on the warehouse floor or loaded onto a shipping carrier's truck, making cancellation impossible. We do not guarantee that any cancellation request will be successful, even if submitted quickly, as high order volumes can occasionally accelerate the fulfillment process beyond our standard estimates.

3. How to Request a Cancellation

If you are within the 60-minute cancellation window, the fastest and most reliable way to cancel your order is directly through your customer account portal. Please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account and navigate to "Order History."
  2. Locate the pending order you wish to cancel and click "View Details."
  3. If the order is still eligible, a "Cancel Order" button will be visible. Click this button and confirm your decision.
  4. You will receive an immediate on-screen confirmation, followed by an email verifying that the cancellation was successful.

If you checked out as a guest or cannot access your account, you must contact our Customer Support team immediately via phone or our live chat service. Please do not use email for urgent cancellation requests, as the delay in email processing will almost certainly cause you to miss the cancellation window. When contacting support, have your order number, the email address used for the purchase, and your billing zip code ready for rapid verification.

4. What Happens If the Window is Missed?

If you attempt to cancel an order after the 60-minute window has expired, or if our warehouse team has already processed the order faster than usual, your cancellation request will be denied. In this scenario, the order will be shipped to the address provided during checkout. You will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number once the package leaves our facility.

While this situation is not ideal if you changed your mind, you still have options. Once the package is delivered, you may utilize our Easy Returns policy (as outlined on our Return and Refund page) to send the unopened items back to us for a refund. Please note that in this situation, because the order was successfully fulfilled according to the original contract, you will be responsible for the return shipping costs, and original shipping charges will not be refunded. Do not refuse delivery of the package, as "Return to Sender" packages often incur severe delays and additional carrier fees which will be deducted from your final refund.

5. Cancellations of Backordered Items

Occasionally, an item you order may be placed on backorder. If your order consists entirely of backordered items, it will not enter the immediate fulfillment queue. In these cases, you may cancel the backordered items at any point before they come back into stock and prepare for shipment. You can manage backorder cancellations through your account portal or by contacting customer support.

If your order contains a mix of in-stock and backordered items, the in-stock items will ship immediately (subject to the standard 60-minute cancellation rule). The backordered portion of your order will remain pending and can be cancelled without affecting the items that have already shipped. We will notify you via email when a backordered item is preparing to ship, giving you a final opportunity to cancel if the item is no longer desired.

6. Cancellations Initiated by Us

We reserve the right to cancel any order, at our sole discretion, without prior notice. While rare, there are several legitimate reasons why our system or our fraud prevention team might flag and subsequently cancel an order. These reasons include, but are not limited to: suspicion of fraudulent activity, failure to pass automated security checks, discrepancies in billing or shipping addresses, inability to process the payment method provided, or errors in product pricing or inventory data.

If we cancel your order, we will notify you immediately via the email address associated with the purchase. We will provide a brief explanation for the cancellation when possible, though security protocols may restrict the specific details we can share regarding fraud prevention triggers. In the event of an administrative cancellation, a full refund will be issued immediately to the original payment method, and you will not incur any fees or penalties.

7. Subscription and Recurring Billing Cancellations

If you have enrolled in any of our subscription box services or recurring automatic replenishment programs, the cancellation process differs from standard retail orders. You may cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account and navigating to the "Subscriptions" management area. To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, you must cancel your subscription at least 48 hours before the scheduled renewal date.

If you cancel a subscription after a billing cycle has processed but before the box has shipped, we will attempt to halt the shipment, but standard order cancellation windows apply. If the subscription box has already shipped, that specific month's charge is non-refundable, but your cancellation will ensure no future boxes are billed or shipped.
